Alogi: «from greek α (without) + λόγος (speech, reason): speechless, irrational»

The “Alogi” Troupe was originally founded on January 2007 consisting of new, young actors. The members of the troupe collaborated in the past while in drama school, in the presentation of two plays, “The Pursuit” and the first version of “The Escape”. Another adaptation of “The Escape” has followed and now the play has reached its final form.
The “Alogi” Troupe has participated in the 2nd Festival of New Actors at the “Topos Allou” Theatre, the “Going Youth Festival” at the “Roes” Theatre and in the “Nyxtes Nova Pars” at the Altera Pars Theatre in 2007 in Athens. It is the only greek team to attend the Biennale of Italy on May 2008 in the section of theatre.

It’s the story of four people who accidentally commit a crime and are sent to prison. We get to watch moments of their daily life there and the degradation they undergo until they decide to escape. After two unsuccessful attempts and the punishment that follows, they finally succeed to escape. The first scene of the play looks like a trailer of a movie with scenes taken from the play that follows. The whole story is given in a comical way, using only physical means of expression, guided by fantasy. The actors take on a stellar performance by creating an abundance of places where the story unfolds, while the pace set is very fast, creating an atmosphere reminding us more of cinema than theatre. The play's humor is mostly based on creating easily recognizable situations that are then taken to unexpected extremes, get exaggerated, twisted and inverted. The play addresses all ages and nationalities.

Alogi (del griego α (sin) y λόγος (discurso, razón, logica)

“Alogi”, empezamos a funcionar en Enero del 2007. Nuestra compañía está compuesta por nuevos actores licenciados de la escuela dramática. Empezamos a trabajar juntos durante los años de estudio, con dos obras: “Persecución” y la primera versión de “El Escape”. Posteriormente realizamos una edición diferente de “El Escape” y ahora la obra tiene una forma mas completa.


El gupo Alogi ha participado en el “2º Festival de Teatro Nuevo” en el teatro Topos Alou y en el “Going Youth Festival” en el teatro Roes y en las “Noches Nova Pars” en el teatro Altera Pars to 2007. Ha sido elegido, también, por la dirección de nuevas generaciones del ministerio de Educacion para participar en el festival Biennale de Venezzia en Italia el Mayo de 2008, como la única compañía de teatro de Grecia, en ese festival.




El Escape - la obra

Pronto… en los escenarios

Es la historia de cuatro personas que por un error, cometen un asesinato y se van a la prisión. Allá vemos momentos de la vida diaria y la degradación que pasan hasta que toman la decisión de fugarse. Después de dos esfuerzos fracasados y las torturas que pasan, la tercera vez lo logran.
La primera escena de la obra tiene la forma de trailer de una película con momentos del resto de la obra que sigue. La historia juega con lo cómico, utilizando el cuerpo y la imaginación.
Todos los actores, con sus cuerpos, utilizan la escasa escenografía para dar vida a los distintos espacios escénicos, creando imágenes de cine. Se escapa de lo ritmos teatrales más lentos, acercándose más al del cine. El humor de la obra se basa mas en la exageración, el imprevisto y la derrocamiento que, en cada caso tiene una base realista, por lo cuál, el publico puede entenderlo.
La obra está dirigida a todas las edades y en todas las naciones, ya que usa muy poco el idioma.
